A crochet doll celebrating the remarkable women who worked on the land during wartime. Sheβs super fun and surprisingly straightforward to make and letβs give a shout-out to her 1940βs up-do and headband!
She is entirely crocheted β no embroidery here.Β Her body is worked upwards from her feet to her head and the design includes special stitches for her nose and eyes (though black plastic safety eyes could be used if you prefer). Her arms and hair are made separately then sewn on.
My doll is named Jean, after my Great Aunt, who was part of the Womenβs Land Army during WW2.
