A crochet doll celebrating the remarkable + brave women who fought to get women the right to vote.
She is entirely crocheted – no embroidery here! Her body is worked upwards from her feet to her head and the design includes special stitches for her nose and eyes (though black plastic safety eyes could be used if you prefer). Her skirt is worked onto the finished body and her arms and hair are made separately + sewn on. Her hat and sash can either be balanced on, or sewn to, her body.
Mine is named Emily, after Emily Wilding Davison who gave her life to the cause of women’s rights.
